Is it possible to hear meteors?

Meteors are fun to see and can fill us with momentary awe. Now that would be an interesting study.

Capture a meteor in space, fit it with electronics, tow it to earth, then along with a satellite designed for re-entering Earth’s atmosphere, send the meteor into Earth’s atmosphere with the satellite following it taking readings and monitoring the meteors radio emissions especially any plasma radio emissions.
