FWIW though, essays should generally go like this:

Opening paragraph: First sentence should be something to attract the audiences attention. Go wild, make ‘em sit up and take notice. Following sentences should outline the points you are going to make in the essay. Final sentence should re-iterate the point of the first sentence, but in a less sensationalist, more measured way and with oblique reference to the evidence you provided in the previous sentences.

Second paragarph should address the first point you listed in the first paragraph. First sentence should clearly state the point you are trying to make. Subsequent sentences should provide the evidence to prove your point. Final sentence should restate the premise described in the first sentence whilst referencing the evidence you have provided.

Following paragraphs: Same as the second paragraph, but for each subsequent point you raised in the first paragraph.

Final paragraph: Sum it all up. Re-state all the points you said you were going to make in the first paragraph, but with the added weight of the evidence you have provided in the essay.

This really annoys me! I usually present factual information, not MY opinion but the opinion of those who are investigating the subject. If there are any queries, I try to present more information usually from the same article that has not been read by the questioner, yet I usually persist and post it again, only to be met with a snide remark from those who just want to annoy.

I don’t read much of what PermeateFree posts, but I do agree with him about who DO is.

Not only does DO lie, but he attacks people who don’t suck up to him.

Also I am of the belief that he rallies his minions behind the scenes of the forum. Though his minion army might be quite small nowadays, or not interested in his games.

I’ll point it out again: remember, DO travelled the country visiting forum members and making superficial connections, seen by some as friendships. Drinking boutique beers, eating fried cheese (aka halloumi), taking photos and being charismatic – especially with the vulnerable people here who might be susceptible to his attention.

See his recent post, as quoted above? DO has to denigrate PF with a rich visual description of a homeless man, PF is (afaik) not homeless. DO’s comment attacks the homeless people in our society who do live in urine-stained clothing and have their life in a shopping trolley, as they deal with untreated mental illness. Great job, DO, in exposing your bigotry.

A member of this forum messaged me a while back saying that I was like PF – I alienate everyone, because I have a unique perspective from a smrt brain.

Well Tau, you have gone to great length on more than one occasion to express your unsolicited opinion of me, I feel it would be remiss of me not to give my opinion of you.

You behave very child-like, drawing up great lists of things, involving situations or people that you feel have emotionally interfered with you. Such lists contain the most extreme often illogical and naive comment that gives the impression that you lack life experiences, it is as if you have existed in a single room with nothing other than your computer that has become your entire world. I don’t feel angry at you for all the things you have said about me, but I do feel sad for such a pathetic life you have chosen to live.
