I know where but I don’t want to blurt it out on the net.

I have a friend who lives up there though – I worked out that the fires were probably only a few km from him and sent him a txt yesterday asking if he and the animals were safe. He sent me one back saying “We’re fine, fire is 5kms away” like that was a large distance!

Hi Guy’s just thought I better check no one is worried about me. We are the next suburb north of the fires, but haven’t been affected luckily. The strong easterlies have been in our favor.
Unfortunately I’m not so sure about my brothers place that is at the bottom of our hill. Still waiting to hear any news.
Stayed home today knowin if a road block gets set up and it stops me gettin home and I can’t rescue my babies.

Bro’s place is ok, but he’s not been given the ok yet to go back. Waiting in limbo.

All but one road has been reopened now. Drove thru the guts of it today and it is so sad to think of all the wildlife that were living in it.
Hard not to shed a tear or two for all affected.
