What does menopause feel like ?
…heat the oven to 200 c then open it.. the hot blast in yer face.. that’s what it feel’s like.

We have a little while to go yet, but am dreading the day. Seeing as how we are close in age, Im guessing that Ms. B and myself will hit ‘The Change’ at about the same time. Im thinking prozac and valium ;)
Think I’ve been getting advance warning signals that something’s on the horizon for a little while, but I haven’t any historical references because my mother had a hysterectomy by the time she was my age, and my female siblings are all younger than me.
The least offensive ‘change’ I’ve noticed is my ability to grow facial hair that challenges my 17 year old son’s attempts!!

Get a blood test done, no point walking into it blind. Will also make sure there is nothing else wrong, PCOS causes hair growth as well.

Can be, mostly just eliminates other problems. If you are starting to show physical signs then there is definately an hormonal imbalance. For women of the right age it is usually a sure bet, but it can be other things. A sudden weight gain can upset the system and insulin resistance can hit at any time.
Yes there was also supposed to be a saliva test as well but they said that was useless as well.I don’t think they know all that much about it all as yet——but always good to have other things checked like you say

I thought Men-o-pause is just what happens to women after they get the wedding ring on the finger.
Apparently the symptoms are 24 hr headaches and the inability to say yes or ok.
