I wish I had some to report. No storm last night. Possible storm tonight. That surface dirt crust is getting drier and harder. I’m working on the mulch.
happy to report 3 out of 4 tanks are over flowin
Beautiful weather for the show this year, until about lunchtime today, when it stormed – thunder, lightning, et al., and has been drizzling off and on for most of the day since then.
No idea how much we got though :/
Got misty rain here. And very nice it is too. Almost like living down south.

Oh my WORD.
“Sunday Rain periods, thunderstorm risk. Min 20 Max 25”
Mind you, it’s not the rain I’m exciting about – but 25 degrees!! I’ll be able to go out before 6:30pm! I can walk the dog AND do something in the garden! Hmm, I’ll have to think ahead and work out what to do, so I don’t waste too much time deciding. The rest of the forecast is for maximums back over 30.
Let’s see.. the worm farm needs feeding, and the fruit fly traps need refilling, but if I do that one day after work I’ll free up Sunday. I wonder if Mr Bon would be willing to get out the mulcher and work on the big piles of sticks everywhere? There’s pruning that needs to be done, and of course a whole bunch of fruit trees need feeding. And all the pot plants need re-wetting..
Just had a little bit of a flash flooding happen 30+mls here, trees down in Maitland Newcastle had flooding (council doesn’t clean storm water drains, haven’t learn from the June long weekend flooding when the pasha bulka came to nobbies.

We’ve just had some heavy showers and thunderstorms during the last couple of hours. Still too wet to go outside but I can see the rain gauge from the verandah and it looks as if there is about 25-30mls. :) But oh so humid! 86% and 24.8C

The rain came straight down. Down the chimney, across the fireplace, onto the hearth and trickled into the carpet. About 1 – 1½ inches of water across the back deck for a couple of hours. Apart from the lightening and thunder, no violent winds…this is what I get for having a full Hills Hoist…
This is a first…maybe I should have left the charcoal and ashes in the fireplace, soak up the water?

this is wrong – the days get shorter until june 21st – then they get longer again until the spring equinox on sept 21st. these equinoxes (?) occur when the centreline of the earth (the equator) lines up with the centreline of the sun.

nah – the equinoxes and solstices occurs the same time each year.
some people do think the widespread rain might be an outcome of these various lunar/solar conjunctions.

The main reason it bothers me is it reminds me how much more I should have done to prepare the garden before summer started. Still, it’s coping a lot better now than it would have done if this happened a few years ago.

I have been outside checking the citrus and it was lightly spitting so I guess rain is on it’s way.
Stay dry Veg.
Got the Work rain jacket on, working in the shed welding up the chook pen steel.
You might want to fix the roof on the shed first?
I was outside getting the steel and walking it down to the new chook pen/shed.

Sure is and that’s just this weekend, Plus the stuff we had Last weekend and during the week. Paddocks are green, might get to do some slashing soon, And might be a few more cuts of hay out at the dairy. Concrator is coming with there Air seeder to seed a few paddocks out there for us. Hopefully its not to wet and they don’t get bogged.

Hope you’ve a well-stocked fridge and pantry…will you have to leave a vehicle at the highway end of your driveway?

always well stocked, as it can be with a 19 yr old bloke living in the house Dinetta. Drive ways fine, just the lower paddocks have some water laying in them, We start to worry when the Willaims and the Paterson/Hunter Rivers start to come over there Banks.
Trying to spit here…the cotton cockies will not be happy…however there is a steady breeze blowing from the south east (which is probably why it’s coolish)…

Doesn’t look like that rain we’re having just now, will clear any time soon…the monsoon trough appears to be moving away over the next few days, and TC Errol will downgrade by tonight…
We’re supposed to have had 100ml this morning and I would believe it…so after taking Sonny Joe to his camp I’m coming straight home as one of the gullies looks like it’s nearly over…

So you are getting ours too now Dinetta. We have had a couple of showers today. Just as well because now Livio can come back to teev and hold his head up high.

A week is a short time in weather forecasting?

this is not the Footy PM.
We got our share overnight. It poured most of the night. Water lying in the usual places around the place today.
No mowing that’s for sure. That’ll frustrate D because he likes to get everything spick and span before the family arrive. I could encourage him to start cleaning in the house if he’s lost for something to do. I’d like it spic and span as well.

Maybe he could move the furniture so you can get the corners done?
