This would make for an interesting study.

4 questionnaires for 4 different groups.

1 If you had a billion dollars what sort of house would you build?

2 Considering the environment, if you had a billion dollars what sort of house would you build?

3 With available finance what sort of home would you build.

4 Considering the environment and available finance what sort of home would you build.

A house is not a home.

I mean if I had a billion dollars I would still build a normal kind of home and use the rest for better things.

yes.. the bigger the house the more difficult it is to maintain. if you are giving me the billion and the staff to maintain and more time to enjoy the indoor bowling alley.. then this is a different story

I think the answer has to be Aaron Spelling’s mansion. The leftover money is used for people to clean it.

Me, I’d build myself a beautiful big house in the middle of several acres of lovely garden, and use the rest for better things.

If money was no issue I would like to have a combination of a small home with a few larger rooms coming off it.

Small kitchen, small bathroom, small bedroom, small living area.

Larger rooms would be a music room, a lounge room.

I simply could not feel secure walking up those stairs without a solid hand rail on both sides. Since my toe operastion I don’t do stairs as well as I used to.

I very much doubt that that’s an Australian building. It’s definitely not been built to code.

This is an example of a ‘tiny house’. It about the size of a caravan or shipping container and people great levels for small living spaces. It’s not for everyone or for most people who are over the age of 55 but it’s a thing people do.
