Subject: Psoriatic Arthritis medication

Hi all,

I realise that I don’t post here much but I wanted to share this in case anyone else has the conditions of Psoriasis and / or the associated arthiris that can come with it.
Having had the issue for the last 20 years it has steadily got worse to the point that it was affecting ability to hold pens and the like at times. Plantar fasciatis (sp) happening due to it and I was partially tearing tendons a lot. Drug combinations like Methotrexate and leflunomide masked the symptoms but had terrible side effects.

I was recently given approval for a new biologic called Bimzelx https://www.bimzelx.com/ and within days, the plaque psoriasis was vastly improved on my hands elbows and knee regions. the skin had resilience again. Previously a simple bump on a table could cause a broken and bleeding skin.

Pain in joints also reduced dramatically in days and continued to reduce over weeks to a point I am basically pain free. More stubborn plaque psoriasis locations like feet, face, nostrils and ear canals took longer to settle down, but have done. My mental health has improved out of sight and for the first time in a long time I am just smiling for the sake of it.

I implore any of you who may have Psoriasis or knows someone who does to get to a caring rheumatologist asap to start the process. It took 6 months to get approved and I needed to go back on some drugs with horrible side effects for a while, but it was well worth it. Please pass this info on.

Yours smilingly,

Sanquar
