Drones in the air, with a camera and an AI chip looking for sharks, when one or more is spotted, it transmitts a signal to a wrist worn device to leave the water.

Temperature, rainfall and bacteria levels all seem to be involved.

Along the coast around here they implement smart drumlines to tag and track sharks. They also have an app to keep you updated with the latest detections.

On ABC News radio they are suggesting to stay out of the water for about 24 to 32 hours and up to a week after a heavy rainfall, around 100ml and higher which washes nutrients and bacteria into the sea.

25ml + of rain starts to move nutrients.
150ml ? of heavy rain washes nutrients into the ocean. (I think that’s the figure I heard.)

Sooo we were considering going to NSW mid north coast this week. The latest shark attack is not too far from where we were going.

Where’s Pauline Hanson when ya need her. What we need is more fish & chip shops.

Pauline is flakey AF!

I am not eating her!!!!!!

Not even with a slice of lemon?

Nope. Not me. Not ever.

I’d require a 4m pole bewtween me and her at the very least.

She’s sour enough already.

so this doesn’t appeal to your basa nature

Yes I read that, don’t know if the person who gave that information is in a position to do so.
I hope he’s wrong.

I saw that on Facebook, the ABC is saying he is critical, but nothing about his survival status.
