Note to self: don’t mulch with sorgum hay, it grows very tall! Found out that sweet potatos, pineapples and asparagus don’t mind getting lost, and spinach will happily self seed in my area (didn’t expect that with our temps).

Nothing better than watching the king parots trying to perch on the top of the stalks, swaying in the wind. They were very tall plants.

Bub is getting up to all sorts of mischief, she is so full of herself :) Now she is walking, and not sleeping all the time, we are starting to get outside more often, and for longer.

Yesterdays mission: Mow the veggie patch – FAIL

Todays mission: Make a new compost bed closer to the house so I dont have to trudge all the way out the back. It rained last night, and looks like it will again today, so no mowing on the agenda ATM.

Morning! Just me “eh? I can handle it. Rain predicted later today. Saturday is supposed to be wet too. Don’t know what i’ll do if we have a fully wet day. I could clean house. Blah! I could sort out torn out pages of recipes. Hummmm! I could do jig-saws. Possibly! I could read. Now that appeals. We shall see. I think I could go for a few more days at Noosa. Won’t happen.

ZeeZee is at the vets. I think she has an anal gland problem. I let D take her because I’m a chicken when it comes to animals in pain. I on tenderhooks waiting for them to com home.

Nothing like the look on a dog’s face when they’re having the glands squeezed! Ours tends to find it more surprising than painful, I think. Hope Zeezee is feeling better now :)

I’ve been a good girl, got the compost area finished (although I did cheat and just used the old truck tyre trick). Even been out and bought some seedlings, when we get a break from the rain I will finish planting them out.

Only been drizzling but too wet for little ones to go rampaging through the long grass that is the old vegie patch, I lost her in there the other day and nearly went bonkers looking for her – she was sitting down and dosnt respond to calls yet. I thought someone had come in the yard and taken her.
