But if you’re doing the paper form, then someone from the Australian Bureau of Statistics would come to your home to find out why you didn’t fill out your census form.

Red Letter Christians is a movement started in 2007 by authors and activists Tony Campolo and Shane Claiborne. The name comes from Bibles that print the direct words of Jesus in red ink.

Members focus heavily on applying Jesus’s personal teachings—such as caring for the poor and practicing peace—to modern social and political life.

Core Beliefs

Social Justice Focus: Prioritizing teachings on poverty, hunger, and looking after the weak.

Peacemaking: Strongly opposing war, violence, and capital punishment.

Political Independence: Rejecting strict alignment with either major political party, believing Jesus transcends partisan politics.

Fighting poverty and economic inequality

Caring for the environment and creation

Promoting peace and human rights

Welcoming immigrants and refugees

Remembers a heated discussion that I had with the president of the preschool committee. She was one of the Anglican parish council representatives.

That blew up into a major clusterfuck.

Christianity has a significant number of lip service believers
Do it for recognition within the church but actually quite nasty people
Plus I always believe religion is a lazy way for ones morality.
Doesn’t require any thinking as someone else tells you right and wrong based on bias from millennia ago.

Some of the most dangerous people I have met believe themselves to be good people, because they are Christians.

I was being kinda being a silly billy, and no I don’t think that the feds are going to arrest me for not remembering how many vehicles I have, as they want registration money for each of them. They know exactly how many vehicles I own.
