That’ll be the day, that I knit booties. Hubby sent them congrats messages and telling his daughter to take it easy and don’t do anything too strenuous. He didn’t tell me that!! LOL

Congrats HP. It is a great feeling. Extra special if you hadn’t expected it.
I’m in the same boat. My son and his wife are expecting their second child so I’ll not only have two grandchildren but also my first grandson. Thought it would never happen.

So that’ll be just on two years between them? A good “space”… they’ll be able to look out for each other at parties, etc…

Well it worked for him and his sister so I hope he remembers and helps his own children be such good friends.

If they’re opposite genders, it should work. I’ve noticed if the second child is the same gender as the first, especially with girls, you can get obvious sibling rivalry…

Is that why my two couldn’t stand each other? They are much better now but we had to wait a long time.

Not at all RB, that’s great news, especialy when you thought it ‘would never happen’ :D In my daughters instance both the young couple have fertility problems, so I thought it would never happen either. Mind, the bub has to get here yet. It’ll be my 4th grandchild.

How wonderful, so glad they didnt have too much trouble with getting pregnant. Some of the couples at my IVF clinic have been trying for years.

Had our 20 week ultrasound scan, we are having another girl!!!

Three mischievous old grannies were sitting on a bench outside a nursing home when an old man walked by and one of the old grandmas yelled out, saying, “Bet we can guess exactly how old you are.”

The old man said, “There is no way you can guess it, you old fools.” One of the old ladies said, “Sure we can! – just drop your trousers and under pants and we can tell your exact age.”

Embarrassed just …a little, but anxious to prove they couldn’t do it, he dropped his drawers. The grandmas asked him to first turn around a couple of times and to jump up and down several times.

Then they all piped up and said, “You’re 87 years old!” Standing with his pants down around his ankles, the old gent asked, “How in the world did you guess?”

Slapping their knees and grinning from ear to ear, the three old ladies happily yelled in unison…
“We were at your birthday party yesterday!”

1. If walking/cycling is good for your health, the postman would be immortal.

2. A whale swims all day, only eats fish, drinks water, and is fat.

3. A rabbit runs and hops and only lives 15 years.

4. A tortoise doesn’t run and does nothing, yet it lives for 450 years.

And you tell me to exercise and hurry up?? I don’t think so. I’m a senior. Go around me!

Not every day but some of them, like today, yes.
