It’s kind of unsettling that the outside picture looks more cooked than the real one.

Steamed is pretty good
Pineapple on pizzas.
Proper pizzas like the Romans used to make with tomato paste base.

Peeled boiled eggs in a ziploc bag from Walmart
For some reason this just strikes me as a weird idea. Egg already comes in a compostable shell. They’re normally stored in a recyclable container. The shell does a pretty good job from preventing the contents from degrading or succumbing to bacteria. It is versatile, you can cook it anyway you like on a whim, or even use it in cakes or pikelets or anything.
So now they’ve invented a way of storing it that produces unnecessary single-use plastic waste. It has lost its versatility: once a boiled egg, always a boiled egg. It checks off most of the conditions for bacteria to thrive: a surface that produces a film of moisture, abundant protein in contact with air, poor temperature control. Maybe they spray em down with Dettol or something, idk, but it just seems like an insane option compared to just buying a carton of eggs.

apparently even raw eggs they wash first thereby removing the bacterial-resistant bloom and necessitating refrigeration but we mean you gotta prop up the prices of synthetic hydrocarbon somehow polymer feedstock right
talk about versatility but as we all know the great free ussa is all about choice so they wouldn’t dare to lock anyone into a single use proprietary dependency
no way

We buy our eggs from the supermarket – all nice and washed. We keep them in the cupboard, even over summer.
It’s usually 2-3 weeks between buying trips (it’s 50 km return to Woolies), and it is currently 5 weeks since our last Woolies trip. We finished those eggs on Wednesday. I cannot remember when we has our last bad egg. It might have been when we went away for a couple of weeks over summer and the house was locked up and constantly hot, many years back.
Cooloola Cove Woolies sells eggs from refrigerated shelves.
Gympie Woolies sells eggs from non-refrigerated shelves.

well, apparently, we’ve never sold eggs in the great ussa so that’s just what we’ve read
