oh hey we’re old enough to remember when it was their own fault that millennials eating crushed alligator pear would never afford a home

but yo today it’s all let’s feel sorry for poor boomers who already have investment properties but have to buy coffee pods slash capsules to brew at home

From today, COVID vaccines are $170 instead of free

That’s a bit of a pain in the rear.

We just have to have a sufficient number of voters die as to make it politically advisable to restore the free jabs.

Until that figure (whatever it may be, determined by whoever) is reached, this is how things will be.

What is this? Why is the National Immunisation Program (NIP) button marked as “UNAVAILABLE”? I just go to my local chemist to get vaccinated – no need to book in. I got my most recent COVID-19 vaccination yesterday. And yes, I did know that COVID-19 vaccines stopped being free for most people today.

system working as intended

Howard-era minister De-Anne Kelly has been revealed as a co-founder and former part-owner of LuckyBet, an online casino registered in the Caribbean. LuckyBet was formally warned by the communications regulator for allegedly contravening an Australian gambling law in September last year, after Ms Kelly had ceased to hold a stake in the company.

Decades earlier, Ms Kelly had voted to pass the Interactive Gambling Act (IGA). The IGA banned certain forms of online gambling offered to Australian customers, including digital slots and the placing of bets after sports matches have started. Ms Kelly argued in support of the bill, saying it was needed because gambling websites were “exploiting the vulnerable and susceptible in our society”.
