Thanks for passing that on, BG :)
That’s good to hear…I won’t get a chance to go back thru posts, but just wondered what happened?

Someone else will remember more of the technical details, but she has had a problem with her shoulder for quite some time, and I think it was brought to a head with she was out and about somewhere and somebody grabbed that arm – from that point on she couldn’t use it and the surgery was urgent.. I think.

She buggered it whilst doing the rock wall out the front…it was wonky anyway but she well and truly wrote it off with all the rocks…then it popped (see Bon’s post) and the wonders of modern surgery means HP is now getting a reconstructed shoulder that will be as good as new…if she can restrain herself from doing anything with it for 3 months ….if you can imagine such a thing…
HP says she is feeling great.
The nurse has just brought her a latte to her room which overlooks a pretty bush garden. Goes home tomorrow.

Rotator cuff tendon problems.
good news.
Good to know that all is well.
hey thanks yous im just home but pain is awful, high on endone atm. im missing half my collarbone, wondered why it was so sore an looked funny.
the surgeon said he doesnt know how i put up with shoulder rotor cuff prob for so long and i must have a high pain threshold..but i disagree. he said hes a surgeon for elite sports ppl and hasnt seen a shoulder as bad. i have surgery glamour photos of the severed tendons, ewww not pretty.
don’t let shoulder pain go on too long and don’t listen to gps that tell u cortizone jabs will fix it, unless its only a very mild pain. i need the full 3 months immobilization at least, proly longer. no fun.
ps my gardening didn’t cause this injury at least initally. doing over head lifting at the gym did.
cuppa tea then thats me in bed foe the rest of the day.x
wishing you a speedy recovery. :)

Poor you. :(
MrBL has a very high pain threshold and he was nearly driven to tears after the op, so keep up those meds.

i now know how he felt, poor mr bl! i’m knocking back pankillers like lollies and thry aernt even touching it. i was ringing the charge nurse of the ward to see what else i could do. doubled it for one night and finally got some sleep.
