I have pulled the last 2 daikon. One is 1.5kg and the other is just under a kilo. What on earth can I do with them now? I like them raw and in salads. We have used others in soups etc. but these are monsters. I can only eat so much fresh daikon!

its a japanese turnip RB – a bit spicy.

i do grow it and use it as a turnip/radish substitute.
often the long roots break off in the ground.
any leftovers are fed to the chooks here.

No spicyness with mine. Another reason why I like it so much.

Have you considered drying them like chips and using them for dips? not sure how well it would work or what they would taste like?

I think I be pickling them thanks Muschee. There are lots of recipes on the net, mostely done with carrots. So I’ll give it go.
