Hey one of you gardening forumers sent us some Big Beans, and none of them have come up… should we soak ‘em first, or scratch the surface?

Was that me? Brown speckly ones? I’ve no idea because I was given my plant already germinated.
Have a google on Madagascar Beans.

I’ll ask the lady who gave it to me. They had been sitting in my pantry for a long while so I hope they’re still good.

I’ve sent her a PM.
I’ve done a quick google and they should germinate easily. Straight in the ground, within 3 to 10 days. Bugga damn.
Yeah the brown speckly ones! Thanks for googling for me :)

I know the lady who gave it to me pretty well so I could probably get some fresher seeds.

She got hers off Annette McFarlane with the instructions to share them around.

She said hers only had about a 25% germination rate too, so just keep trying. She just stuck them in the ground and waited.
