If I put on an afternoon tea on Saturday 12th November to celebrate my first year living in Swanpool, would any of you be interested in coming?

Gees! I’d like to BG. There was some talk of making it down to your piece of heaven wasn’t there?

for those who are going to have to make a trip of it, the Violet Town Markets are on that morning and are well worth visiting.

Yes!
I’d love to but right now I can’t commit. :(
I’m being youngest son’s taxi service with his employment agency and I don’t know what’s happening that far ahead.
I wish you were closer.just a reminder that I am celebrating my 1 year anniversary at Swanpool on Saturday afternoon 12th November. All invited. The Violet Town markets are on that morning and well worth visiting too. Happy Potter is coming and bringing the man and a cake with her :)

The man has a week off then so we will sneak in a weekend break for us too :D We will need to look up overnight stays in the area to book.

HP, if you go to the Violet Town Markets, head left once in the main gate and you will come across the Seed Savers Group selling their seeds. Very cheap at $1 a pack and all locally grown and packed.
today’s the day :D

all the visitors are gone. had a lovely time with people coming and going all afternoon :)
Lots of food left over. I got a bit carried away! And the tiramisu cake that HP made was absolutely enormous, and incredibly delicious. Sent some of the moussaka that she made home with the kids and having it for dinner here. Mr & Mrs HP are staying the night in Benalla and will pop in again tomorrow afternoon before they head home. All in all it was the celebration that I hoped for and I am foot sore but happy :)

We’re back, a bit tired after so much driving but we had a lovely time with BG and her family and friends :D It was just what the doc ordered, a relaxing day chatting and eating some yummy foods and hanging out with ducks and chooks :)
We went to Violet town markets on our way and vowed to go back for another visit. So much stuff that was home made and home grown. I bought some sarsparilla cordial and I couldn’t go past a liquid manure set up for cheap. I know these things are easy to make but I didn’t have all the things nessessary so this will save me the running about to gather them, and the manure. I’ll set it up tomorrow.
After leaving BG’s place we went to the Tattong Tavern for a drink and snack. We’ll go back there for sure. Then onto Benalla to our motel. Boy did we sleep like logs. Found a great cafe for brekky, then back to BG’s for a cuppa and pick up cake dish, then we went to Eildon to have a look at the weir while it has water in it lol, and we took lots of pics.
I will upload some later.
The trip home was nice and relaxing, until we got to Seymore and the heavens opened and it bucketed down. I managed to get 670 klms out of one tank of petrol, cool! I wanted to keep going to see how many more I could do before the petrol light came on, but the man was stressing and we don’t wanna stress him. No sense of adventure lol.

Glad you enjoyed your visit. I hope it won’t be long before I see you again. Seymour is the point where the weather changes depending on which side of the ranges you are on. I have found that I am getting a lot better mileage out of my car as all miles are country miles for me now :)
