Ooops and so did I…..thank you all for the good wishes. Happy belated birthday to you too Muschee.
My birthday was fairly low-key. #1 daughter took the day off work and came down from Sydney to drive me up to Westmead to stay with Mum in a motel while my baby bro had his open-heart surgery. The surgery went very well and he should be going home tomorrow :-)
Mum and me in a motel was an interesting experience, she being very frail and me with my busted shoulder, but we managed to survive ok. I’m back home now and went to see the orthopaedic surgeon on Monday. He was quite pleased with my progress. Fortunately I didn’t do any further damage during the time at Westmead. I start physio after 28/12.
Garden is in a very sorry state…this is MrS’s busiest time of year for work; and also running around after me and end of year commitments so he hasn’t been able to get out there. I am now starting to be able to do a bit of housework, but there is a limit (as HP knows only too well) so goodness only knows when I will be able to do gardening. Bending over still causes pain to shoot up my arm so needless to say I don’t do it too often. Also the novelty of doing everything one-handed has well and truly worn off!!!
