….. even though my internet is slow as a wet week (and because of the wet week!) I can still drop in here and have a bit of a lurk and occasionally say hello.

…. even though I’m still renting I like my cheap dump of a flat.

….. I like my job and love the people I work with.

….. I get paid enough to have savings.

…. a bank told me they’ll loan me money and it’s just a matter of time now till I can save enough to be able to buy another house :)

… the hanging pots I planted out with flower seedlings for my Mum & Dad’s Christmas pressies have started flowering and they’ll be looking just fabulous in time for the giving of the gifts.

So long as this list outweighs that other other one ‘eh.

Lobelia around the edges – mixed colour punnet, some pink and some purple so far – I forgot the name of the tall flowers I planted in the middle. I’m crap at flower names, but they’re looking pretty. So glad I had that little organisational moment those weeks ago. Now I just want them to be perfick in precisely 6 days’ time. We’ll get to Mum & Dad’s on the 23rd and potplants aren’t the kind of gift that can stay wrapped till the big day.

I’m happy that you’re happy, and if it’s as simple as just turning up then I’m even happier to have made you happy so effortlessly :)

No, not aware of the etymology of “cute”, but would love to learn.

I do recall, pre-internet, wishing for an etymological dictionary. I like books because I can just flick through, but the internet doesn’t work like that.

Love Lobelia. Pink and purple too. You’ve excelled.
