very heavy. he was too big to come out the normal way so a C section was called for in the end. I’m just back from visiting and he is just gorgeous.
Oh I’m so happy for you BG.
Big boy. Ouchy. Was that because he was over cooked?

they knew he was going to be big from the ultrasound, but he ended out even bigger than estimated. They reckon the reason that she was overdue was because of his size as he couldn’t get down far enough to start putting pressure on the cervix. The whole time she was in labour she didn’t dilate one bit.

Congratulations to new mum and all the family, hope mum is well. :)
They’re lovely shots BG. I can see how big he is now. Quite an armful. He didn’t muck around about growing some hair either. I’m not sure who is the tiredest in the pics with Dad.

He’s going to be a strong little feller. I had one like that and he grew to be 6’6” and very athletic. Ate us out of house and home and cost us thousands in clothing. It will be interesting to see how your little bloke goes.

you can see by his hands and feet that he is going to be a big fellow, and he has been putting on the grams too. His hands are very broad across the knuckles.
Lovely baby pics, BG! He is a grand little fella. Well…..not all that little!
Glad you had such a nice visit with him and the family. Sorry to hear about your bike.

No?? Oops! :) If it helps, I went and hunted out a baby photo of Jamie Oliver, and he looked nothing like this little one! So perhaps it’s somebody else’s baby photo I was thinking of.. hmm..
He certainly does look older than he is. He’s a bonny boy, is he a good baby? er……that is…….is he a contented baby and does his Mum get some sleep?

he does seem content and doesn’t cry much. Sleeping for longer periods at night than during the day which is good.
Alexander had a routine check up today and he is now 5.39 kg and 57.5 cm tall. He is smiling and looks a real boy :)

Yay! Congrats to all :)
My cousin just had a baby yesterday, in the same birth centre I am booked into :)
Thankyou :)
She is a living doll, and looks sooooooooooo like her poppa it’s not funny.
It turns out my girl had the labour from hell, and it shows. She’s weak and grey faced and about to have another blood transfusion. After bubs was born the placenta simply wouldn’t budge and she was losing too much blood so she was wheeled off to emergency surgery. She almost had to have a hysterectomy, but they first tried everything else to avoid that and that was a success.
I will have more pics later :)

Zoë Michelle Dewis.
Born today (8/01/2014) at 2.20pm, weighing 3.83 kg (8 lb 4oz), length 50cm. Mum and baby are doing well. Dad awe-inspired by the feat of strength and endurance he just witnessed.

:)
Congratulations! Love the name :)
That’s lovely! I see where Zoe is resting on Dad’s chest in the first photo…
That’s a nice name, you don’t see Zoe and Michelle as names much these days, and the pairing has a musical note to it…
Good birthweight too: something you can hold on to…The mum deserves a medal alright…

I miss my kids being little.
I used to think it was all downhill after 6. Now, It’s all downhill after they learn to speak.
As much as I love my kids, I miss when they were 2-3. Miss 10 is now the queen of all arguments and can not be proven wrong, while Master 9 is interested in nothing unless it involves Mario :(
I can not honestly say that I’m looking forward to the next ten years as a parent :( :( :(

Report back in ten years when you’re nurturing young adults and you will say what a blast it is :) :)
Most of my current staff are 20-30 somethings.
I love them. They work hard and play up far less than I did at their age. They ask for advice and accept it willingly.
But dealing with a 10 year old who knows more than I could ever possibly conceive (! ;) ) does my head in!
My only hope is that my kids can learn faster than the rate that I’m accumulating grey hairs!

I remember arguing with my daughter (the mother of these gorgeous babies) when she was ten. It was doing my head in too! Then one day I said to myself, why am I arguing with a 10 year old? Can’t remember what I did after that but all of a sudden it wasn’t a problem. It may have just been the change of mindset or maybe I just stopped arguing!
Isn’t Alexander quite the young lad now…how quickly he has grown..!
