Both are legit abc email addresses.

Generally, the your.abc etc address is used by a program or section within the organisation, while the abc.net etc version is used for individuals.

Speaking of which, how are people able to register so many handles, seemingly, so quickly?

I thought names had to go to the Moderators to be approved.

Handles have not needed moderator approval for some years now. All you need is to register a throwaway email addy, and reply to the automated registration email sent from the lab.

If possible I’d also like an ‘ignore’ option for some people.
I know it should be as easy as simply not clicking their post but I’d rather not see anything from them at all.
