What does Australia or New Zealand do with the skins after the animals are killed ?

Tan them and make jackets, Ugg boots etc, or remove the fleece from the skin, tan the skin and use it as soft leather for gloves shoes etc?

Yep the abbotoirs here always tanned the skins and sold them as part of the process.
