You could either say that I am always on holidays or that I never have any. I often just do whatever someone wants me to do on the day which is always a holiday from whatever it was I thought I was doing.

nothing.. as little as possible..

literally. I do everyhting at my house.. everything.. I am the bottom line here.. so when I go away I try to allow someone else to be responsible.. of course if I have to take the children it all changes… then I just do the same stuff I do here but in a different location :)

Well, I’m always here.. even when I’m not.

at home holidays I spend inthe garden.. I am determined to get my gazebo and nature strip… the trouble with gardening is it’s slow and I’m impatient…

Many times I’ve pulled up seedlings thinking they were weeds (I know I should, but I don’t put up little signs indicating whats what in the garden)

These days, I let everything grow until I have a positive identification – weeds included!

You both simply need to give me a bed for a few days. I’ll remove every weed in your yard space. Weeds you didn’t even know you had.

i will happily give you a bed, food and even beer if you want to come help me do the transformation… actually that gives me an idea..

I should just organise a working bee.. get BU, Boris, Kingy (with bob cat), Rough, neomyrtus and various muscle for lifting, digging and carting.. up for a day or two… some soil, plants, bricklayers… where, oh where is Backyard blitz when we need them?

would be quite a weekend though… we could tent it ;)

myself I tend to see the debate as withering on the srtem without a unanimous forum

Let’s see… the last holiday I took, I went to mum’s for two weeks to help her move to Kweenzland. It wasn’t a real holiday- I did most of the work!

I did go to Bali once. That was nice. OK, I lie, I didn’t love it and couldn’t wait to come home. NYE on the beach was lovely though, despite the drunken Irish bloke dropping the Roman Candle firework… luckily, no one was hurt.

In gardening news, I planted a flower bed containing alyssum and heartsease flowers. They have sprouted but not done anything else in 2 weeks! I’m also impatient :P
