Better get that normal-human-sized dinner underway.

Look, when you cook a bullock on a spit for supper it is not a normal-human-sized portion.
They can see some of your spit roasts from the ISS when there’s no cloud.
Better go and put that dinner together. Salmon patty ingredients don’t roll themselves into patties, except in cartoons.
I’d better get back to this DVD and see if it was a wolf after all.
Is bubblecar the one who cries wolf once too often?
My lump of trumpeter is deliciously ready :)
Feeling a bit wobbly – might toddle off for the night.
cya Geoff
Nightie night Geefer.
Gee z fer.
Better resume my DVD Holiday :)
I’ll peep in later to see how FNDC is unfolding.
Better head armchairwards to continue the DVD holiday. This morning’s film: Rebecca (1940) Directed by Alfred Hitchcock. With Laurence Olivier, Joan Fontaine, George Sanders, Judith Anderson.
I’d better go and thoroughly clean anything in the kitchen that had any contact with those trotters.

Better kit yourself up with forensic gear.
Aporrhoea is the best one – it’s really going to help my pome progress.
OK I’m going to brew a pot of tea, pour another cab merlot, sit in front of Rebecca and jolly well watch it to the end.
Enough politics, back to Holmes.
Me too.
Lute practice then another episode of Sherlock Holmes.
Greetings to you DA. It’s more my nose was itchy and it kept waking me up. Stoopid allergies. Now all I need is an early morning visit from Pepe le Pew.
I’d better go and see what Holmes & Watson are up to in tonight’s episode.
Holmes & Watson?
bye
“Randling” 8:30 Ch 2 sounds interesting. BFN.
Holmes & Watson?
——————————-
Some prefere the porno version…Holmes on Homes
Studio! I’ll peep in at half-time (about an hour from now :))
Getting that dinner underway, then Holmes & Watson will be needing me.
FNDC is called, at least for those who’ve decided to relax for the rest of the afternoon with a bottle of Pinot Noir while watching another episode or two of The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes.
Enough moonless moon shots, I’m going to watch another episode of Holmes.
Shopping.
Just some of the butcher’s bratwursts tonight, with boiled pinkeyes and ooh why not, baked beans.
There’ll be a good mixed cheese board for supper, while watching some of the ancient cosy horror films that arrived today on DVD.
Please report back on the horror movies right there on your TV.

hey
back later
As much as I’m enjoying the fast-paced posting here this evening (very reminiscent of a certain old forum), it’s now time to head kitchenwards and start putting together a very fine dinner.
gone
Off to watch “The Corpse Vanishes”, 1942, with Bela Lugosi, described in the Aurum Film Encyclopedia of Horror as “a lamentably shoddy piece of work” :)
I’d better attend to some veggies – may peep in later. I expect this place to be a lot more populated tomorrow evening. Or there’ll be trouble, do you hear me?
Elizabeth Gladys Millvina Dean (2 February 1912 – 31 May 2009) was the last remaining survivor of the sinking of the RMS Titanic, which occurred on 15 April 1912. At nine weeks old, she was also the youngest passenger aboard.

Studio for another hour or two, then correspondence to attend to. No walks or rides today because the weather’s too uninviting, so I’ll have a session with the weights, and maybe some disco dancing (in memory of Robin Gibb), later.
Bath’s ready.
1940s B horror movies? Count me in! ;)
Tonight, watching some more Return of Sherlock Holmes. While worrying about the neck lymph nodes that get uncomfortably inflamed every time I have a drink these days, and wondering if I ought to see the GP about it.

hmmm… probably
Nah, just ask Dr Google. The internet knows everything.
OK…
What are the symptoms of Hodgkin’s lymphoma?
Swollen lymph nodes
The most common early symptom is to develop one or more swollen lymph nodes in one area of the body – most commonly the side of the neck, the armpit or the groin. The swollen lymph nodes tend to be painless and gradually get bigger. (A symptom which occurs in about 1 in 10 cases is pain in the affected lymph glands after drinking alcohol.) If the affected lymph nodes are in the chest or abdomen, you will not be aware of them swelling in the early stages of the disease.
(Note: the most common cause of swollen lymph nodes is infection. For example, it is very common to develop swollen nodes in the neck during a bout of tonsillitis. Lymphoma is an uncommon cause of swollen lymph nodes. However, a lymphoma may be suspected if lymph nodes remain swollen for more than a couple of weeks or so, or if there is no infection to account for the swelling.)
Other symptoms
Various other general symptoms may develop. For example: sweats (especially at night), fevers, weight loss, tiredness, being off food, anaemia, itch all over the body.
As a Hodgkin’s lymphoma develops you may feel generally unwell. If the lymphoma tumours become large and press on nearby parts of the body, various other symptoms can develop. For example, you may develop a cough or breathing problems if the tumour enlarges in the lymph nodes inside the chest.

is that what you think you have?
Who’s to argue with Dr Google?
Probably not. It’s more likely just a symtopm of excessive drinking:
Physical Effects on the Body Caused by Alcoholism
If you continue to drink, your heart will suffer from irregular heartbeats and high blood pressure, which increase the chances for a heart attack or stroke. Your liver will become inflamed and very painful; fluid buildup causes swelling (edema); cirrhosis, hemorrhage, cancer, and eventual liver failure will lead to death. The Brain experiences hallucinations, impaired senses and motor skills, dementia, psychosis, even mood and personality changes. The tonsils, salivary glands, thyroid, and lymph nodes (collectively called glands) all become swollen and inflamed in an attempt to filter out additional toxins from the body.

Sounds more like BC than Bubblecar.

well, that’s what we drink for..
>wondering if I ought to see the GP about it.
I wouldn’t bother, it’s probably only a tumour.
OK I’d better get on with it.
>I’m wandering off to watch Maniac (1934), a cult film described by the Aurum Film Encyclopedia as “fascinating exploitation picture…it has a truly awesome camp/movie-buff plot…..<
Excellent idea, I’ll join you, after I’ve poured the brandies :)
Armchair beckons. I’ll peep in here later, if I can hear raucous singing and dancing and breaking of glass coming from the internet.
Time for this week’s taped Time Team.
I’m off to play some Thief while the casserole smells ever more delicious. It’s one of those dinners that can keep on quietly cooking until you’re hungry enough to turn the oven off.
Found it! :)
Back out there to push along the push-along.
Wonder if I could tow it with the ride-on….
Three people are in hospital after being hit by a lawnmower on a busy Launceston street.
Police say a registered Launceston City Council lawnmower driven by an employee hit a group of youths on Wellington Street about 9am.
Three people were taken to the Launceston General Hospital with minor injuries.
Investigations into the crash are underway and the council has been contacted for comment.
In the state’s south, police are concerned about a man seen leaping close to cliffs at Blackmans Bay this morning.
They say the man was seen about 7am, dancing near the blowhole holding a pole with ribbons attached.
A land and sea search failed to find him.

A witness said that he “came out of nowhere and just mowed them down”…
I really think I should not type this….
Perhaps he was just taking a short cut….

He got a hole lot more than he may have wanted.

Hmm, a feral Morris man. Sounds like he’d had one too many ciders.

feral morris dancer.

All this talk of watching Sherlock Holmes while sipping brandy and eating a little dark chocolate is sending me armchairwards, to watch some Sherlock Holmes while sipping brandy and eating a little dark chocolate.
I’m now up to disc 11 of the complete Jeremy Brett collection of Sherlock Holmes.
