Hello guys,
i went to use my garden thermometer this moring to see what the seed rasing mix temperture is and noticed one it where the red line is in the center at the top end of that the stuff in the centre has all broken up in the last 10mm i used it the other week a week last monday and it was fine haven’t dropped it or anything. Here is a photo of it.

Actually there shouldn’t be bubbles in the thermometer. Just a vacuum and the red stuff.

yeah if i put in hot water say 50 degrees would it make them go away becuase it woud rise to the top?

Bugger. I had a thermometer outside and it has done the same except it has one big long space at the bottom of the column. Oh well. Get it sorted willya VG.

Do one thing at a time. Try flicking it down again. Shaking it. Mums and nurses used to do this before taking your temperature but that was when mercury was used.
If it won’t work, try the freezer overnight.

Well I’ll be stonkered.

I dropped a max/min thermometer a couple of years ago, after which it had air bubbles. I shook it and shook it and shook it …. until I thought my arm would drop off. Tried it a couple of days later, no go. Ended up tossing it out.

If only I’d known * sigh! *
