From your iTunes or other music list, answer these questions.

1) What’s your most recently added song and album?
2) What’s your most played song?
3) What’s your longest song?
4) What’s the daggiest song?
5) How many songs have you got on that list right now?

***
1) Song: Lego House by Ed Sheeran. Album: Trespassing by Adam Lambert
2) Paralyzer by Finger Eleven (155 plays; all my other songs have a count of less than 40)
3) Tubular Bells by Mike Oldfield, coming in at 48 mins. A distant second is Guns ‘n’ Roses with November Rain at 8 minutes.
4) Agadoo by Black Lace. I also have the Bollywood version of Jai Ho from Slumdog Millionaire.
5) 1079. I’ve purged the list recently.

You have Tubular Bells? Wow, that’s what I listened to driving around in the old Kombi…searching for good waves.

I can’t remember why I have it though. Nothing to do with The Exorcist.

1-5) I don’t “add songs”. The most recent album I’ve purchased (and ripped to my pooter’s Music folder) is a compilation of Finzi’s violin & cello concertos and various other of his works, with Tasmin Little & Raphael Wallfisch as soloists + City of London Sinfonia + Royal Liverpool Philharmonic.

Daggiest album in my music folder is probably The Very Best of Edith Piaf, although I do actually have a Frank Sinatra CD somewhere.

Actually, a left-over from last Christmas.. Who knows what goes on here?.. least of all me.. I have Four HDD’s each has an operating system and iTunes on it. I don’t always use iTunes I do also use Audion.. the other contender that came second when Steve Jobs selected Casady&Greene to subsume rather than Panic.. in order to create iTunes.

My lists may not be representative of the day or which HD I’m booting from. But I doubt I’ve got a lot more than the number listed at the bottom of the window in this pic.

Gosh… I normally just have the songs on random while I’m working so it’s easier to have them all in the one place.

One of my friends has 20,000 songs on her iTunes but I’m not even sure I know that many songs… She does have different versions of the same songs though.

I probably have almost as many versions of house of the rising sun..

This was something that I was thinking the other day, about different versions of songs. I rarely like cover versions unless the cover is the first version I heard.

Same here.. but sometimes.. such greats as Jimi Hendrix take songs like all along the watchtower to the teetering brink.

Donna Summers did a really top version of a Yes song I’m still trying to remember the title of.. It will be the one written by Jon Andesron.

/joking

I do love the classics though..
Beatles, Stones, Led Zep, Who, Floyd..
My favourites list has remained essentially unchanged for 40 years.

The song playing now (in my head.. cause I was just bashing it out on the piano) is Stones – Sympathy for the Devil.. can jam on that for 20 minutes.

I’m now having visions of Phantom of the Opera jamming on his organ.
