Eremophila are my faves because of this very fact. Many of them flower for up to 10 months of the year.

planty reds yellows mauves purples pinks.. yes, in winter when ice is on things.

i agree – they go well in a ‘cottage’ garden as well – which i think is surprising for a native.

i have just planted 12 salvias in the front garden too. they are winter flowering that we have been accused of having ‘a spring’ garden which is too easy – apparently?
