Do those godless commies show the launches live at all? I thought they hedged the bets and only publicised a launch if it worked.

That’s the chase I was cutting to, the fraility of a Godless communist society when compared to a Godfearing open Capitalist sunlit upland where triumph and disaster are treated just the same.

They tried showing a launch live once. It didn’t end well.

in practice china isn’t communist, they just use the brand name communism to enforce the rule of the emperor

you might remember from macbeth that duncan was actually going against the agreed principle that kings were voted in by the collective vote of chieftans (when you read the background of macbeth duncan was up to no good, not the other way round, duncan declared his son the next king rather than macbeth who would most likely collectively be voted king – the witches give fate a nudge but the approach of killing the problem rather thinking the problem out causes mayhem – its why hecate appears mid play and chastises the witches)

the boss of the communist party is emperor by any other name

i was going to make some reference about australia not having a space programme but realised that time has past long ago

we’ve got interpretative centres and angry birds

it shows you how quickly a society can collapse, it only takes one generation to be knocked out and you are back in the stone age.

we are in the retrograde
