ISLAMABAD: Men who drink lots of tea are far more likely to develop prostate cancer, a new study has revealed.

Researchers found that those who drank seven or more cups a day had a 50 per cent higher risk of contracting the disease than men who had three or fewer.
The warning comes after scientists at the University of Glasgow tracked the health of more than 6,000 men for four decades.

Dad has a pot of tea with breakfast lunch and dinner and has about three cups per pot. Seems a lot to me but I dont think it unusual for his generation from his background.

I’m reminded of a story about the famous artist Pablo Picasso. He was being interviewed by a young female reporter, and Pablo was in his 80s at the time. He drank cup after cup of coffee during the interview and eventually the reporter said to him, “don’t you realise that coffee is a poison”?

He looked back at her deadpan and replied, “it must be a fucking slow one”.

and to add, tea cups are not that big, smaller than a coffee mug anyway.

I just stumbled on something called the Mickopedia. The most ridiculous waste of space I have ever seen. I can’t imagine why anyone would give it web space. It ceases to be amusing after the first line.

“It was a pub idea cooked up between me and two friends; Oliver Mooney & James Kelleher, about 3 years back.

We did not sit down and manually rewrite Wikipedia’s 4 million entries. That would have taken at least a week, even going hard. To clarify, the site uses a script which grabs the wikipedia entry for your search and modifies it ‘on the fly’, making the rewrites and insertions.

Costs were a few pints, domain registrration / hosting and a couple of days of our time. It was fun to do.”
