Reads to me as though they can go for the dam again if they want to. Been there and gone through that myself.

yes, just wondering what the local for and against issues are if there is any, usually damming a river causes issues to the downstream, i know that Todd only flows certain times, but when it does water would need to get to where it needs to go to etc. :)

and issues to up stream where there would be more water, but this is river has its own needs just wondering what they are.

i don’t know – but does it rain often enough to pay the cost?
probably better drainage and an underground aquifer replenishment would be my preferred option.

If it doesn’t rain much maybe they need a dam.

Damming an ephemeral river system is quite a risk… wonder if they are just simply trying to make Alice look cleaner? Submerged garbage and shopping trolleys are harder to see beneath murky water?

Ummm, no rain for 15 years… followed by 3 great wet seasons…. followed by no rain for 30 years.
