If synchronised swimming, and Individual synchronised swimming fer christ sake can be considered “Sports”, then why not Creative Nose Picking, Shit Plaiting, and Knob Swallowing?
Add your suggestions here, and we can send them to the IOC for their consideration.

the performance of a synchronised swimming routine takes considerable strength and fitness. It is probably on that basis that it is included in the ‘pics.

But personally, I’d like to see all events where the winner is determined based on subjective judging of artistic merit scrapped from the program.

Would you also include the Winter Olympics’ ice dancing events in that?

Well yes, but also a measure of the strength and stamina of the human.

See, now you’re just being contrary. If the strength and stamina of the competitors was important Synchronised Swimming would be the most important event of the games.

I agree PP, but you need to include the walking events as well, as they are too subjective in the rulings between walking and running.

As for winter olympics either make the ski jump – Longest Jump wins, or scrap it. I can’t understand why it needs a subjective judging component. It would a bit like telling Usain Bolt that although he reach the finish line first, the second fastest guy was smoother out of the blocks, and had a more symetrical stride length, and so is the winner…
