I caught fish with those things on the tongue when I was a kid. Trying to remember which type. Tailor, perhaps.

Cool. I’ve not seen them before. Haven’t been fishing for years. What did you do with the fish?

I think I just cleaned them like any other fish and et them. I really can’t remember. I would have been about 10.
