G’day. One of my chooks has red feet and appears to be in distress because of it.
Not scaly leg mite, her feet are quite clean and yellow, just between the toes.
She seems in pain and is sitting down in the corner of the run this arvo and won’t walk.

Mine get a bit red about the feet when they have been scratching in the scoria, but they don’t seem to be distressed. So I can’t help much.

No worries. If she aint self fixed in the atandard 3 days of solitary, she gets a belt on the head.
Shame really. She’s a cuddler,

try some tea tree oil on her feet. it is a natural anti-fungal and antibacterial product.

Yeah I read about bumblefoot. Be strange if it was in both feet.
Not swollen, just red and sore.

G’day HP!

Yeah more of a shame when they’re cuddlers :(

I had a lady ring me to buy several silkies and I ummed and arhed over which ones I can part with. I’ve been handling them a lot so they’re well tamed for when I use them for a petting pen that I’m setting up for orchard events. I love them all, and they’re all tame. But I have too many.
I left the door open the other day for one minute while I dashed in to grab something and they followed me inside, lol.

You should at least try and treat it first.

pyrethrum doesn’t hurt chooks but kills all insects – so you could spray her feet with that.
i guess you have looked under her wings for mite and lice.
