I find it hard to maintain the rage. It lasts for a few minutes and then it’s gone. Any tips on how to do that?

I have an offline life. Just et cheese and croisssants and stuff on back patio. Now going to finish coffee. Hoya is flowering. Going to consider setting up the shade structure for tomato plants.

Drools…hoya…sigh :(
My hoya never flowered, but my dad was successful with them.
Praise Be Mother Goddess Gaia. Bless my Tomato Plants with Fruitfulness. Om.
From the American Humanist Association’s latest ad campaign:

What is the shade structure for the tomato plants for neo? Do they burn at your place?
perth summers are hot and dry and the soils sandy and hydrophobic. plants need all the help you can give them.
Nothing wrong with imaginary friends, one of the most poignant things that Ecky Thump ever told me was that everyone should have at least one imaginary friend.

Yeah, we have that too. And it’s friend, the North Wind. So a few 45 degree days with wind are not good. But I don’t have to shade my tomatoes.
You are a bit northerer than me though.

Boris explained it better :)

a cheap gazebo structure and shadecloth collected from front verges on throw up days. Leaves with sunscorch and heat stress. A hot day and direct sun can reduce a leaf to a dry crumble.

mine are potted or in the planter box.
I don’t think I’ve ever actually lost a tomato plant to the sun. Even in the year of the Big Fires, when we had days and days of over 40 and wind beforehand. Admittedly I did do quite a bit of evening and morning watering, but I don’t recall them dying. The grass, on the other hand…….it was like paper.
I have some rather puzzlingly aquaphobic soil here, even after 11 years of working on it. Mostly around the perimeter fence. I know the previous occupant used some sort of soil sterilent because for ages nothing would grow there, and I recall putting some trial bean plants in after about 3 years to see how they went and they grew deformed. I really hate to think what he was using……
Still haven’t planted my beans but I’ll do it tomorrow. Thought I’d plant them in a completely different part of the garden and see what happens. I’ll probably mix the dug soil with a big bag of potting mixture, to help it along.
I have planted bean seeds in a couple of places. Some have germinated, some have not. I guess the soil on the West fence is warmer than that on the East fence so far this season.
I have planted no bean seeds, and I have none in my possession right now.
Probably fortunate that I procrastinated, because we were having frost warnings as late as last week.
Just Blue Lake, this year. A prolific and tasty bean.
I have seed for Dragon’s Tongue, a yellow one, a purple one, and a green one. And a couple of climbers. I like a mix of beans, and I particularly like the bean to not be green, for ease of picking.

They burn at my place and Perth is just as hot, as well as sandy.
