So just how much of your laptop is actually made from wood? any of the electronic components for instance?

the wooden spacer thats not on the corner was originally placed there to make space for something else – hence the strange position. however it still works. after a year or so of procrastination i saw a switch for a power cable at bunnings (also put a socket in for the dishwasher after much complaint about using an extension lead) whilst getting other stuff.

plywood except for the fans , junction box and cable. i made it last christmas due to the heat cooking the laptop. you can buy usb powered fans for laptops but they are garbage – you need big 240V fans for serious cooling. the fans cool me just being near the laptop 24W * 2 fans.

What is wrong with the laptop cooling system that it needs external assistance?

things get hot here
the laptop charges air into the brains so they don’t over heat
