Ideers please…

These are the leftovers from the pav-a-lova…can I use them for something else or should I just include them in the chookens breakfast tomorrow (Happy Christmas chooks!) ?

Have made a separate thread for my easy reference.

Custard. Chocolate custard, of course!

Ok, thanks Buffy. I don’t know how to make custard and unless I change my Christmas Cake plans (cheat’s tiramisu), don’t really need a custard just now…I’m the only one in the fam who likes chocolate custard…can it be frozen? I’d have thought the eggs would separate during defrost, but then as I said, I don’t know any receipts….

I’ll eat it. You just eat it for dessert on its own. Or for breakfast.

I may be mad.

You might be right…I’ll just check my Encyclopaedia of Food & Cookery (by Bobby Fulton’s Mum)…yep, egg yolks only in mayonnaise…

Oh good, I’m not alone.
I’d also scramble them with a bit of cheddar and tuck in ..

Well I made this humungous chocolate cake…thanks to a recipe from one of Lucky’s friends on fb…after 5 mins in the oven I found out the tin was too small, so took it out, hurriedly lined a massive Christmas cake tin, and poured it from one to the other. Fully expecting crispy bits when finished…

When are you getting “home”? Did you find a place for your duks?
