you use a mitre saw to cut the piece slightly longer than needed then use this thing to get a smooth and perfect 45. i knew a framer and recognised it.

It is for shaving wood. remove the e and change r to v from shearing..

yeah. you only take shavings off. be too hard to cut a lump off.
some of the ornate frames are a wood base with a plaster molding applied. you want something that will cut both but not chip the plaster.

There’s a design for a harp on the table, but I didn’t use any shaving shearing picture frame guilloteener when I made my harp.
