Well here we are again with our summer tennis, it starts with the Hopman Cup at the new dome in Perth. I know you all are glued to the tv :)
Tomic brought the goods home last night beating Haas, Tomic ranked about 50 and Haas about 21, a good win, i did think all the way through that Haas was going to win.
Barty also brought the goods home, recorded that last night and just about to watch it now, before the action starts today.

my mower wouldn’t start the other day, just needed a service, fuel related and new spark plug. Where i am now the mower man comes here, so my mower is in the garage, and i start it up every 6 months or so just to keep it going (and same with whipper snipper), always starts first pop (Masport, Briggs and Straten 4 stroke motor) but not this time.

I would have thought a non working pool pump and a non starting mower were good excuses to go and watch the tennis. Our views on life must be totally different. LOL.

We went to town yesterday to get a new battery for the ride-on. $100 later………………………………

pool pump working too now – after a bit of tightening of PVC threaded joints?… scratches head – i don’t spose it has anything to do with the fall thru’ the time/space continuum?
anyrate – i’ll leave that to the intellectuals – and go for a swim LOL.
and watch a bit of tennis if any is left…

Their athleticism truly amases me, If I was playing at that level I would probably have the odd grunt too. Some players seem to grunt more than others.
The skill level makes for exciting matches.

My neighbours, J1 and J2, are at the coast at the moment, and they said “2 – 3 weeks”. Well it’s been 3 weeks and I reckon they’re not coming back until the tennis is finished…she’s a keen Australian Open (is that what it is?) tennis watcher…

Yes the Australian Open is on at the moment, first grand slam for the season, the Australian tennis tournaments kick of the new season worldwide for tennis. From here they fly on to many tournaments and grand slams all over the world until about the end of October or there about, some take a holiday, some train for the next season.
