Over in the Holiday forum there was a discussion about putting out water for the birds. So I’ve made up an album in Photobucket of some of the water ‘features’ I’ve had in my garden. I’m going to just put one clickable thumbnail in first here, because I want to see if you can click on that and then go through the whole album from there:

Yep, that looks fine. I haunt the garden section of the cheap shops and buy dishes that look interesting. I’ve also found interesting ones in the kitchen section too. Plenty of rocks and old bricks around here for me to build up an interesting setting. I like three together. Sometimes there are guardian dragons. I pop a rock in most of them so the birds have something to perch on.

Nice. I’ve got plastic pot trays dotted about for when chookies are out too, but birds mainly play and splash in the ponds waterfall bowl.

Sorry to hijack this thread but don’t have the Birds in the Backyard thread bookmarked on this laptop…

The crows must have a nest somewhere, one of the grown-ups is coming and dipping food in the chookens water…I see it fly in and out…sadly (for the crow) the food sometimes dissolves and falls into the water, so poor crow has to fly off and find more…
