Not really.  The Hyperforum just encapsulates the two forums.  They exist elsewhere, and that sort of coding is way beyond my knowledge.

Yep.  He’s the one that built this place.  Still, others may have the pilot’s seat currently.  I don’t really know.

It might also be to prevent attacks by bots or pests. You could see that happening on the other place. Endless random names appearing in the member list.

It’s a safe refuge here. There are still some scientists hanging around, and (I think) we are all interested in science. There are not as many science threads as in SSSF and PSF, but discussion caries on in chat, nonetheless.

Drinking my third rum-n-campari. No work (redundant last October) and trying to overcome a long bout of “can’t be bothereds” by planning a 175cc production bike world record attempt next year. Whether I can get a budget past Mrs V is another thing. Whether the plan is to save my sanity or is real is a moot point.

As for the CC Modified Bike record – well the ANDRA poeple have change the rules and class sizes. My planns have crashed and burnt as a result. Can’t find myself through the maze yet. An 800cc Skidoo snowmobile motor would work, but they are non-existent in Australia…

I reckon $2500 for the bike. $1000 for internal modifications and rules compliance mods and then a long tow to Lake Gairdner, SA for a week’s racing, say another $2000. So probably $5500. Lets add $500 for testing and jetting etc. So $6000.

No contingency for blow ups during testing or racing in that, but each blow up would cost say $800 or less.

Yeah, but you’ll need a second engine & case. developement costs & all.
