Here’s where we talk about much nicer things :)
I love the sea even though I rarely visit it, and would love to live by the seaside one day, with the ocean on view and the waves to hear all day & night long

Paddle yes, swim no. But I wouldn’t mind going scuba-diving one day, with very full air tanks.

I’m tempted to re-post my Ebony Buckle link, but since this is the “nice” thread, I’ll post something else instead, so as not to annoy Bubblecar:

>>the waves to hear all day & night long<<
You do know the ocean is the biggest source of infrasound on the planet and it’s the infrasound of the wind towers that makes people sick…….anyone living by the sea should be very, very sick, all of the time.
;)
(Our windfarm was officially opened a couple of days ago, although it’s been operating for a while now. There were protesters at the gate for the opening)

Were they greenies?
They call themselves “Landscape Guardians”. I b….ed if I know what landscape they are guarding….the area of the windfarm here was cleared of trees and scrub in the mid 1800s for farming land. It’s hardly pristine or anything. It’s open, cleared, windy (obviously) country with lots of volcanic stones that keep rising to the surface over time.
