Small amounts, or tins with residue, just leave them to dry and chuck in the rubbish.
If it’s larger amounts, your local council should have somewhere to drop them, and they’ll send it to be incinerated.

I’m with Angus. Coat the inside of an old paint can and lid with it in a layer about 6 mm thick and allow it to dry. Then repeat until it’s all dry.
In my suburb some kindly people donated open and mostly used paint tins to Good Sammies, it bought a tear to my eye
