I’d actually agree with the school’s take on the matter and think that use of the disabled toilet was a fair compromise.
If I was her I’d prefer the disabled toilet, ‘cos they’re usually more spacious and private.

the normal toilets are normally filthy and have weirdoes hanging around, the disabled toilets are often the cleanest and most spacious

I agree, but some people seem to think a compromise is called for, so here’s one: If she needs a wee, she can use the boys’ loo, if she needs a poo, she can use the girls’ loo, if she needs to be sick, she can use the disabled loo.
I suppose identifying with both sexes has advantages: use whichever loo is closest when you need to go :)
Girls seem to prefer using the boys toilets because the lines are usually shorter so perhaps this one ought to take advantage of the grey area. Stall doors lock, so what’s the difference?

But OTOH “lady’s toilet” gets only 25,000 hits (and a query as to whether you really meant ladies toilet), and “ladies toilet” gets far more.

But OTOOH, the correct equivalent for “men’s toilet” is “ladies’ toilet”, and about half the hits on “ladies toilet” are actually “ladies’ toilet”.

It shouldn’t be a dilemma (in a perfect world). If she is now accepted by the school as a girl (wears girls uniform, has girls name) then she should be able to use the girls toilet.
The current female students should have some guidance relating to the fact that Jane is now using the girls toilet, and let them know who they can speak to if they have any concerns. Kids are pretty accepting of many different things, generally.
I would also allow Jane to use the disabled toilet if she needs to and make sure teachers keep an eye on the situation. Maybe allow Jane to go before recess/lunch so it doesn’t become a “big thing”.
At a remote mine site years ago there was a transgender guy>girl and the females didn’t want them in the female change room, and I think there was a universal access change room created (or similar). I am assuming the girls at the school aren’t against the idea, especially as the cubicles would have doors.
