A mutant who shall remain nameless has left an uncovered onion in the fridge. Now the grapes taste like onion. Washing them hasn’t helped. Is there any way to de-onionise them?

You can de-onionise your hands by rubbing them with stainless steel. Perhaps the same is true of grapes…
No.
Does the onion now taste of grapes?
How much do grapes cost? Might be easier to replace them…
The taste won’t hurt you. Well at least it doesn’t when it is in onions.

Just means I can’t eat too many at a time, there’s a weird aftertaste.
There’s a baked chicken recipe that calls for grapes, olives and chook. Not sure if onions is on it. From the Smitten Kitchen website.

Yep, onions are in it. It supposed to be very tasty.
Yes, I’d use them for cooking and get some new grapes for eating.
Onions are easy to grow and inexpensive to buy. Why put half an onion back in the fridge? In this weather it isn’t going to kill the onion to tip it on the sliced side onto a saucer and leave it on the windowsill(in the shade) for a couple of days..
