1. daughter has recently moved to a new house with a real garden! I’d like some help with identifying some of the plants. Some are familiar but I just can’t pin them down.

I know this is a lillipilli but I thought I’d show you the huge clumps of fruit – it is on the sidewalk at the front of the house, just where you want to park :)

It’s a Sedum. What colour were the flowers.

pretty sure this is a Bay Laurel, was planted in a bed with other herbs

nice pattern on this pelargonium leaf

think this might be a magnolia. The flower buds are dying before they open but if you break them apart then they have a lovely scent. Advise on what could be the problem with the flowers would be appreciated.

Looks like it to me.

Abutilon? Pretty soft lemon colour.

Looks more like a Gardenia.

I think it’s a Plectranthus of some kind too. Try ecklonii.

can’t tell you, didn’t feel them :(
but from the look of them I think they would have been on the hard and shiny side…

Vitex leaves look that way but surprise you when you touch them. Perhaps daughter can feel them and get back to you?

That was my guess too so Bubba and I are thinking the same, does it have a strong sweet scent? Like a cherry pie or very vanilla-like? (sometimes it smells different to different people)

Solanum is the nightshade family, so it’s definitely Solanum, the only question is which cultivar? Could it be S.rantonetii ‘Royal Robe’??

Ah…was on the right track I see, possibly not Royal Robe though, I think that one is a REALLY dark purple.
