No idea if this is possible. I have a motherboard with onboard 24bit 8channel audio and a pci plug in 32bit 7channel with 92khz optical digital out. Both use VIA chips and drivers. The motherboard also has an output with option for either HDMI or 48khz optical out. To run the 92 khz optical out option from the plug in means the surround sound cannot be accessed. The plug in driver does recognise the front out speaker input on the motherboard but not the rest of the surround outputs there. I believe the onboard driver can run it’s digital without cutting out the surround.
Is there any likelihood at all of being able to combine the 2 drivers so that I can use the surround through the motherboard outputs and the 92khz optical on the plug in simultaneaously?
