Subject: Mirror Colour

A good mirror produces a specular reflection of most of the light that hits it, in which case it should look as if it is whatever colour it is reflecting. But somehow it looks silver-ish(for a silvered mirror). Why?

I think this about the way that lights hits metallic surfaces

when we say silver I guess we just mean something that reflects light
