Google are spruiking this thing as the next shift in in-lined technology, comparable to the change that smart-phones endangered.

The tech is primitive right now, but holds massive potential.

I’ve long been hanging out for reality to become a subset of virtual reality.

Do you think Goolge Glass represents the first commercially successful stage in a fundamental shift regarding how we view the world around us?

Just got new phone arrangement from Tel$tra, which includes an Android tablet thingy. Google is now trying to control my life – fark, it’s everywhere!

Google have stated that they will not advertise on GLASS.

I know that doesn’t mean much, but like the climate of PC operating systems, I imagine that GLASS or the off-shoot technology , this particular initeractive system will grow and diversify to include non-commercial applications released independently of commercial concerns, much like LINUX.

10 years ago I was imagining an always online virtual representation of the world being available to me through technology… And it seems that this is happening.

Yes. Yes it is. They’ve made things really difficult for me since I have 3 google accounts (2 of them are for uni).

Even though Google may not advertise, in new generations which allow apps, the apps might advertise.

The technology is neat and promising – but it will be the biggest invasion of privacy since facebook.

I assume that advertising will quickly become the norm here.

I think though that we can dismiss this advertising as a fleeting concern.

GLASS is the first widely recognized application of a technology we have all long held to be possible and maybe even inevitable. Googles game-plan is to have GLASS technology as ubiquitous as smart-phone tech.

It’s kind if like, who advertises televisions for their ability to deliver a picture to your eyes, these days?

I would sign up… Depending on the cost.

I suspect “information overload” will become a very common media phrase in the near future. Myself, I can never have too much information. Sign me up to the overload.
