I need some help re: passionfruit. It was grown from a seed that just popped up in the garden. Transplanted to beside a trellis. It’s only about 8mths old, growing at a great rate and has set 2 fruit over the last 2 weeks. But…………….there is always a ‘but’….. it has developed crinkly leaves. First leaf growth was normal but more recent growth is distorted and all new leaves are crinkly.

Do I ditch it? Should I wait for the fruit to ripen to see how they taste? I’ll listen to any comments.

Pomolo that sound’s like it’s a sucker. I had a nelly kelly P on my back fence many year’s ago , about 15 year’s ago if I remember right, and it produced very well. But it sent up sucker’s left right and centre, up neighbour’s tree’s even. Well now the neighbour over the back has a big shed, and in the gap between fence and his shed, about 40 cm’s, the sucker’s still come up. The leaves on it are alway’s crinkly.
Then again I’m not sure if sucker’s bear fruit.

No HP, it’s not a sucker. Well not at this stage anyway. The strangest part is that the leaves changed from normal (to half way up) and crinkly from then on.

I’d be willing to go with deficiency but what deficiency?

are the leaves a good colour? If so it maybe just a trace element or something, or something else. Try a dose of seaweed.
