…also known as Cold Laser Therapy. Any of our medically inclined posters know much about this? My older sister who has bad arthritis has heard that it’s very good for pain relief, but is skeptical because there are apparently few places offering it, and it just involves pointing a hand-held device at the affected area for a few minutes for around $50 a go. You can also buy the machines yourself for around $400-600. She’s wanting to know whether they’re worth it and dangers of side effects etc.

I’m going to be really unhelpful and say I have heard of it, but can’t remember where. It was on something within the last few months about how you don’t need quals or a licence to do this so it can be a bit iffy.

Ta poikilotherm. Suggests it might be worth having a try (if she can find anyone in Hobart offering it).
